Initial prices for Asus Padfone known

Asus has to mark the sales launch in Taiwan on 20 April the first prizes for the long-awaited Padfone announced. These are lower than previously suspected of, but are far from making the unusual instrument at a bargain.

For the Padfone themselves must pay buyers in Taiwan, 17 990 New Taiwan dollars, the equivalent of around 460 €. For the combination of Padfone, Tablet Dock and Bluetooth headset, which can be used simultaneously as input pin, have 24 980 New Taiwan dollars, and thus about 640 € to be taken into account. Includes Keyboard Dock for the complete package 28 901 New Taiwan dollars (about 740 €) will be due. Official figures and data for the European launch are just as prices for individual components are still not available. Recently the company said only that it would begin selling in April.

The Padfone concept provides that the smartphone can be used as part of an ordinary cell phone. In conjunction with the Tablet Dock, it then acts as a normal tablet is combined with the technology of the smartphone with a 10.1-inch display on the docks.
