Your new EOS 1D-C is the expected version of the Canon 1D-X focused on video recording, so it is directly subsumed in the division Canon Cinema.
The new Canon EOS 1D-X hit the market with a full format sensor with 18 megapixel resolution and dual-processor Digiv V. This configuration will work very well because the new Japanese SLR with video dares to 4K resolution. That is the main reason.
This resolution is achieved by compressing 8-bit MotionJPEG 24p. If you choose the video recording at 1080p, can reach 60 frames per second and export the uncompressed video stream via HDMI (YCbCr 4:2:2).
Although Canon has not given details of the price of this new “movie camera”, we hope to be around $ 10,000.
